I have been an Oregon native since I was 6 months old. My husband and 3 children were all born at Sacred Heart Hospital here in Eugene. I married my husband, John, 2 months after graduation, and the following year we had our first child, Jackie. She was followed by another daughter, Julie, and a son, Jeff. I am now blessed with 8 gandchildren, 1 grandaughter and 7 grandsons, who are adored by their grandmother!

I started my real estate career on August 19, 1985. I began selling homes immediately and had 6 pending sales when I was involved in a serious car accident 3 months to the day from when I started. I took my first listing from a hospital bed in my family room, and have always continued to have that kind of work ethic. I have always sought to provide outstanding customer service and marketing for my clients, and as word of my performance has spread, so has my production.

I love being a broker, and I have always loved people and houses. I enjoy being able to make things happen. I have developed strong negotiation skills over the years and have grown a strong client base. I have also built a very good name and reputation for myself and my Team. This equals power with lenders, inspectors, appraisers, contractors, and service providers.

I have been active in helping make our community a better place to live. My business is a member of the Eugene Chamber of Commerce. I actively support & contribute to Food for Lane County, Habitat for Humanity, Nothwest Christian College Athletics, Open Adoption of Lane County, Scar/Jasper Mountain, Eugene Mission, Girl Scouts, Eugene Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, and many other organizations. I have served as a Girl Scout leader, Sunday School and Bible study teacher, and have worked on several committees dealing with real estate issues. I am an avid U of O duck fan, and hold 4 season tickets! Go Ducks!
 | | | My Team |
I have consistently been one of Eugene's top producers. I met the requirements for the Eugene Million Dollar Club my first full year in real estate (1986), and have been a club member since 1987. I was one of the first agents in our area to have an office assistant and a buyer's agent. My team now includes my daughter Jackie Hawks (#1 Buyer's Agent 2002 - 2006), Julie Lostritto (Buyer's Agent), sisters Carla Kropf and Beth Cuddeback (Buyer's Agents), Manuel Hernandez (Marketing), son-in-law Chris Hawks (Marketing), Chris Lupton (Transaction Coordinator), and my daughter Julie Adams is also an Office Assistant and my bookkeeper. My dynamic and personable team was #1 in all team categories at the former Coldwell Banker Curtis Irving Realty in 2004 through 2007, and have been the #1 Team in Lane County!

And we continue to grow. My Team and I closed in excess of $31 million in sales in 2005, over $37 million for 2006, and over $36 million in 2007, despite the slow-down in the housing market! I am always grateful to my current and past clients for their part in my success, and to show my appreciation I have held an extravagant party for my clients with a great dinner buffet, lots of prizes, a deejay, dancing, etc., every year since 1995!
I would love the opportunity to help you purchase your home, sell your existing home, or both! My 20 years of experience, combined with my top-notch Team, can offer you a level of expertise that can't be beat!

Titles >Ways to Hold Title
When two or more people purchase property together, there are three ways that the title can be held. Knowing the implications of each form of ownership will help you decide how to write your deed.
"Tenancy by the entireties" is reserved exclusively for married people. Both husband and wife own an undivided interest in the property. On the death of one party, the surviving spouse owns the entire property and no probate will be necessary. When unmarried persons buy a home together, they should seek legal advice regarding how title should be held. As "tenants in common" each party owns a percentage interest in the property. On the death of one party his or her interest does not go to the surviving owner but is distributed in accordance with the will of the deceased, whose estate must be probated. As "joint tenants" each party owns an undivided, equal interest that passes automatically to the surviving joint tenant. Probate is not necessary if the deed reads "joint tenants with rights of survivorship".
It is important to know that in most courts, if a deed is written without specification of how title is held, the property is titled as "tenants in common."
